Nanchang is a constantly developing city and it was one of the first 10 model cities chosen for the Project of 10 Thousands of LED Street Lights Replacement (10&10.000 Project), set up by The Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
Nanchang is the home of a Semiconductor Lighting Industrial Base (SLIB), one of four such bases in the whole country of China.
Nanchang has a solid foundation of LED industry with a complete industrial chain from high power LED chips to advanced package, from LED display application to solid state lighting.
Nanchang was appointed as the groundbreaking demo city in Low-Carbon City Pilot Project operated by British Carbon Trust in 2010.
